There are many triggers that cause relapse for recovering alcoholics and addicts. There are also preventative measures that can be successful.
C.A.R.E. has relapse prevention programs designed specifically for our alumni. These two programs can be very appropriate in assisting with addiction recovery.
'Education for Chemical Dependency' is a very beneficial program in helping residents learn more about their specific addiction, as well as encouraging them to take their motivation for recovery to the next level.
For those who choose to return home, C.A.R.E. will continue to provide telephone support, alumni weekends and be available to help you with any problems that occur during transition and beyond.
In order to ensure continued progress, patients leaving C.A.R.E. receive a continuing care plan which will include:
- An appointment with a local therapist who will receive (with the patient's permission) C.A.R.E. records.
- A list of available meetings and resources.
- A schedule of activities for the first few weeks of transition.
- Continuing telephone communication with their C.A.R.E. primary therapist and other counselors.
