As an alumnus of the C.A.R.E. program I feel the least I can do is let other addicts know of my rehab experience. My addiction is compulsive gambling. I was at a point in my life where I didn't want to live any more, the weight of the world was on my shoulders, and I didn't care about myself or my family. I quickly found out that my addiction was no different then anyone else's, be it drugs, alcohol, sex, etc. The similarities are astonishing. At C.A.R.E., through hard work and keeping an open mind, I began to feel better about myself and the people around me. They taught me about my illness, why I have this illness, and how I can arrest my illness. The quality of the many types of therapy offered is unparrellelled and the staff to client ratio is better then 2 to 1. I want to end with the fact that nobody put me up to writing this, but now that i have a second chance on life thanks to the C.A.R.E. program, and I feel obliged to show my gratitude. (something else I learned at C.A.R.E.)
A grateful former client
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care and attention, both my clients and their families have recieved at the C.A.R.E. Program! Dr. Mitch, Dr. Amy, Dr. Sue and their staff have always gone way above and beyond most treatment centers, in their willingness to work with, and help heal, the hopeless. If you, or one of your family members is in need of addiction, dual diagnosis or gambling treatment, you can be confident that the personalized treatment planning, attention to detail and expertise of C.A.R.E.'s Professional Staff, is second to none. One conversation with Dr. Mitch will put your mind at ease. C.A.R.E. treats its clients like adults who recognize that with the right tools, anyone can recover. I will continue to recommend Dr. Mitch and C.A.R.E. to my Intervention clients as well as to any professionals searching for assistance with their clients. C.A.R.E. keep up the great work!

To whom it may concern,
I have worked with Dr. Mitch Wallick of C.A.R.E. Florida for the past year on "Recovery Radio Live" and what has impressed me, among other things, is the fact that Dr. Mitch seems to understand addiction as if he was one of us. His compassion and understanding of the disease of addiction has helped me through several disturbing situations in my personal life since we have been acquainted and I have seen him do the same for many others.
I also know several people who have been treated at C.A.R.E. Florida and I have heard nothing but wonderful reviews and have seen the success C.A.R.E. achieves in helping to rebuild lives and reunite families.
Furthermore, to see the compassion he extends to others has been amazing and I only share if his frustration that we can not help each and every person with this disease.
Dr. Mitch Wallick is not only a fine clinician but a wonderful human being.
Sincerely,
Debbie Strand
