Relapse Prevention

There are many triggers to relapse for recovering alcoholics and addicts, but there are also preventative measures that can be successful.

C.A.R.E. has relapse prevention programs designed specifically for our alumni. These two programs can at times be very appropriate in assisting with addiction recovery. Education for Chemical Dependency is also offered at C.A.R.E.. This program is very beneficial in helping residents learn more about their specific addiction, as well as in encouraging them to take their motivation for recovery to the next level.

For those who choose to return home, C.A.R.E. will continue to provide telephone support, alumni weekends and be available to help you with any problems that occur during transition and beyond.  In order to ensure continued progress, patients leaving C.A.R.E. receive a continuing care plan which will include:

  • An appointment with a local therapist who will receive (with the patient’s permission) C.A.R.E. Records.
  • A list of available meetings and resources.
  • A schedule of activities for the first few weeks of transition.
  • Continuing telephone communication with their C.A.R.E. primary therapist and other counselors

C.A.R.E. seeks to rid you of your addiction and bring healing in your life. Through our various treatment programs, we believe this is possible. Our professional team at C.A.R.E. can give you the tools to be free of your addiction and overcome the desire for relapse. Remember to stop drinking and using is the pre-requisite….the goal is to return to a quality life.
