YOUR STORY COULD INSPIRE SOMEONE TO GET HELP.
C.A.R.E. has created a charitable arm to help subsidize addiction treatment for people who cannot afford it. C.A.R.E.’s Helps is a not-for-profit organization that is able to direct all of its funds toward treatment related fees because Dr. Mitch Wallick and C.A.R.E. co-founders Dr. Aimee Wallick and Dr. Sue Naversen, generously absorb all of the attendant administrative fees at the facility.
TRUST GOD, CLEAN HOUSE, HELP OTHERS
We are often approached by alumni who seek to ‘do something’ to thank the C.A.R.E. staff for their support. In response we have initiated The Alumni Fund, which we hope will channel those intentions and begin a cycle of giving that engenders a sense of community amongst our graduates.
Any amount makes a difference. To make a donation visit: helpanaddict.org
DON’T GET COMPLACENT IN YOUR RECOVERY!
Remember that C.A.R.E. has relapse prevention programs designed specifically for our graduates.
Education for chemical dependency is also offered at C.A.R.E. This program is very beneficial in helping graduates take their motivation for recovery to the next level.

We invite you to join Dr’s Mitch, Aimee and the C.A.R.E. staff on Tuesday evenings between 6PM and 7:30 PM for our “Helping Them by Helping You” family support group.
The family support group is designed to help local families deal with the consequences of a loved one’s addiction. It is a small professionally moderated ongoing therapy group that meets at the C.A.R.E. offices located at 321 Northlake Boulevard, North Palm Beach Florida.
Your first session is free.
C.A.R.E. holds intensive family weekends four times per year. This program is an intense weekend with a schedule of both therapeutic and educational activities. This program is designed specifically for those with family members who have had, or who are presently in treatment.
Topics generally discussed will include but not be limited to:
Dealing with the terrorist in your family: Participants will learn to effectively communicate and set boundaries to avoid being manipulated, lied to and otherwise controlled by the addict in the family. Special attention will be paid to determining the difference between enabling and love.
After treatment: What next? This group will help participants understand the supportive role of the family when the patient completes treatment. It will emphasize the division of responsibility when recovery is the property of the addict, while behavior remains a family issue.
Dealing with disaster: What to do in the event of relapse and/or crisis
Family support: What about me? This workshop reflects on the stress placed on the patient’s family, offering information about carious counseling and support group options.
Both points of view: An interactive discussion between family members and patients currently in treatment.
Tales of success, and other inspirational stories: Round table discussion by people who have recovered.
Therapeutic family session: Group therapy for the family.
We are currently planning a Dominican Republic retreat for those families who would benefit from the same intensive therapy offered during Family Weekend, but desire a more private approach and want to forge new positive, bonds as they participate in activities including horseback riding and hiking.
